The California Center for Reproductive Health works with the best and most-respected doctors in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. We are proud to have Eliran Mor, MD as a vital member of our team. Dr. Mor MD is the California Center for Reproductive Health’s Medical Director.

Dr. Mor received his medical degree from Tel Aviv University-Sackler School of Medicine in 1997. He then went on to complete his 4-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Mor became a board-certified physician in California in 2001 and is also a member of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and fertility. He has remained recognized as a Most Compassionate Doctor by the American Registry and was noted as a Whos Who in Medicine and Healthcare.

As a researcher, Dr. Mor has continued to explore the world of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. This has led to him co-authoring over a dozen papers. These papers have then been published in such respected peer-reviewed journals as the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics; and Fertility and Sterility to name just a few.

These papers have included “The insulin-resistant sub-phenotype of polycystic ovary syndrome: Clinical parameters and pathogenesis,” and “Pituitary imaging is indicated for the evaluation of hyperprolactinemia.” In all, Dr. Mor’s research interests cover a vast array of reproductive health and infertility issues. These topics include infertility and human reproduction, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS); emergency contraception; neuroendocrinology; insulin resistance; male factor infertility; donor sperm insemination; tubal factor infertility; IVF stimulation protocols; congenital uterine anomalies; tubal gamete/embryo transfer (GIFT/ZIFT/TET); pregnancy at advanced reproductive age; and hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Dr. Mor also participates in the presentation of abstracts at respected annual events in his fields. Some of these presentations have included, “Combined gamete or zygote intrafallopian transfer (GIFT or ZIFT) and in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET) in women with prior failed cycles: significantly improved success rates over IVF alone” with co-author M. Vermesh. This abstract was presented at the 61st Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, October 2006, New Orleans, Louisiana. Another abstract presentation included “Hyperandrogenic insulin-resistant acanthosis nigricans (HAIRAN) syndrome: treatment of hyperandrogenic symptoms with combined oral contraceptives (OCs) and spironolactone (SPA),”  presented at the 87th Annual Meeting of the Endocrine Society, 2005, San Diego, California with R. Azziz and S. Ghadir.

These presentations at conferences show Dr. Mor’s commitment to attending events at least twice a year to learn the latest in reproductive endocrinology treatment and consult with colleagues on the newest breakthroughs in the field. Dr. Mor only brings back the most tested and safest treatment options to his practice and uses these annual meetings as a way to learn firsthand what is happening in the field.

Eliran Mor, MD has been rated and reviewed highly by his patients for his positive attitude, his attention to care, and his ability to include patients in their own decision-making. He works from a patient-first approach and is very cognizant of the tough emotional, mental and physical toll that infertility can have on a family. Dr. Mor’s goal has always been to offer as much information to his patients as possible so that they can make an informed decision about their own treatment and care.

Additionally, Dr. Mor is a physician who stays involved in every step of a patient’s fertility and reproductive journey. All consultations, after-hour inquiries, ultrasound examinations, diagnostic procedures, pelvic examinations, assisted reproductive procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers), and surgical procedures, if needed, will remain performed by Dr. Mor.
