What foods to avoid after exercising?

In addition to knowing what you should eat on the way to the gym, below we are going to show you what are foods to avoid after going to the gym  so that you can improve your performance and control your weight day by day:

Fatty foods

Nuts

Consuming protein after training is good, but not if it comes with a high level of fat. Walnuts and peanuts are good snack options, but you should avoid nuts after the gym due to the digestive slowdown described above. These foods, however, are ideal for before practising sports or during aerobic resistance exercise.

Red meat

A workout followed by a good meal is a great idea, but even though you may think you’ve earned a plate of bacon or hot dogs, many personal trainers and fitness experts advocate avoiding red meat after exercising. The saturated fats in red meat reduce metabolic function and also affect learning and memory.

Coffee

Many people drink coffee after a morning workout, but different personal training experts advise against this practice. After exercising, the body is dehydrated, and drinking something like coffee can dehydrate you even more.  According to these tips to control hunger after exercise, remember to drink water during training to promote rapid hydration of your body and at the end. Also, consuming alcohol after training has the same adverse effects.

Sugary smoothies and sodas
