Ancestral Remedies

This last field is known for its outstanding qualities to reduce high cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of blood clotting. Its active compound, gingerol, acts as a powerful agent to eliminate lipids that lodge in the arteries and the bloodstream.

Honey

There is probably no more perfect food than honey. Without a doubt, it is a nutritional treasure that houses excellent medicinal benefits. It is one of the best natural sources of antioxidants. According to information released by the Spanish Heart Foundation, honey is a complete food, full of energy and suitable for everyone. Its nutritional potential stands out for its contribution to more than sixty different substances. Among which it’s content of sugars, organic acids, vitamins (C, B1, B2, B3, B5), folic acid, minerals (phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, silicon, iron, manganese, iodine, zinc, gold and silver), essential amino acids, sterols, phospholipids, flavonoids, polyphenols and enzymes. It makes it the perfect complement to balance cholesterol levels in the bloodstream, and its unique composition acts as a great protector of the heart.

Garlic

Garlic is much more than a delicious condiment in the kitchen. And it is a food loaded with nutritional and medicinal properties. Its healing power is due to its content in sulfuric compounds and multiple phytonutrients associated with unmatched cleansing, antiseptic and antibacterial qualities. However, it is one of the most popular ingredients to improve cardiovascular health. How to prepare the remedy?

Ingredients:

  • Four cloves of garlic
  • 1 cup of honey
  • 2 litres of purified water
  • One large piece of ginger root
  • ½ cup lemon juice

Step by Step:

  1. Peel the garlic cloves very well and add to a food processor until paste forms. Later add the ginger peeled and in small pieces. Process again until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Squeeze the lemon juice until you get half a cup. It must be very fresh.
  3. In the blender glass, add the two litres of water, the lemon juice and the garlic and ginger paste. Blend until all the fixings integrate, add the cup of honey and process again.
  4. If you consider it necessary, you can strain the drink. Once ready, pour it into a glass jar with a tight lid.
  5. Rest in a cool, dark place for at least five days. You can also refrigerate it.

Consumption Indications:

  • The most recommended alternative is to consume a tablespoon on an empty stomach.
  • If the flavour is robust, you can dilute a tablespoon in a glass of warm water or a cup of tea and consume it with breakfast.
